Jewellery Repairs

At Robert Openshaw the Jeweller we have been repairing, restoring and undertaking "make overs" to Jewellery for over 125 years.

As you would expect, we offer a first-class repair service. Most repairs can be completed within 1 week and are undertaken by skilled craftsmen in our own, newly refurbished workshops. All repairs come with a 12 month guarantee*.

We can carry out work in all precious metals. Our service ranges from a simple ring re-sizing or chain repair to the alteration or complete rebuilding of your treasured items, including the supplying of diamonds and other precious stones if required.

Annual Service
Gold and Silver are soft metals and become worn with use. This applies to all genuine jewellery. Depending on the degree of use, it is recomended that your jewellery is checked at least once a year by a goldsmith. In particular it is important that clasps, mounts and soldering are checked. This allows us to check for signs of damage or wear and tear and to suggest a suitable repair before it becomes a serious problem.
